Full program description
The program requires that 4 courses be taken, each taking 2 weeks of study time. The program will take about 60 hours to complete. Each course in this program will require approximately 15 hours of learner’s time.
The program has 3 mandatory courses and 1 elective course chosen from the two options (this is not a self-paced program):
- Climate Change Science Application in Vulnerability Assessments
- February 2 – 13, 2026
- Climate Change Adaptive Capacity of Sustainable Forest Management
- February 16 – 27, 2026
- Climate Change Adaptation Development and Implementation
- March 2 – 13, 2026
In addition, students are required to take one of these courses to complete the certificate and now you are choosing the Elective 1 course.
- Elective 1: Climate Change Vulnerability Assessments: Policy Implications and the Business Case for Adaptation (for those more interested in the business side)
- March 30 – April 10, 2026
- Introduction to Climate and Ecological Models for Forest Adaptation (for those more interested in the science side)
- March 30 – April 10, 2026
