Full course description
In Canada, there are approximately 75,000 people living with HIV. Approximately 25% of this population are unaware of their HIV status. In the early 1980s, Alan contracted HIV from a contaminated blood transfusion. In spite of experiencing various symptoms and attending multiple medical appointments spanning over a 5 year period, he was never properly diagnosed nor given an HIV test. Alan recently confirmed his diagnosis and shares his story in this educational presentation.
