Join us for a focused, single-day Continuing Professional Development (CPPD) experience designed to deliver high-impact learning from wherever you are. Engage in expert-led sessions covering timely clinical topics, practical tools, and emerging trends in pharmacy practice—all delivered online for your convenience.

CONFERENCE LEARNING OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the Conference, learners will be able to: 

  1. Apply evidence-based guidelines to select first- and second-line therapies for insomnia and incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy referrals into patient care plans. 
  2. Compare opioid agonist treatment options and implement updated principles of care for individuals with opioid use disorder through case-based learning. 
  3. Demonstrate accurate techniques for measuring vital signs—including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure—using validated methods in hands-on workshops. 
  4. Assess eligibility and administer pediatric immunizations safely by obtaining informed consent, managing adverse events, and applying BCCDC resources to troubleshoot complex scenarios. 
  5. Apply practical strategies to diagnose and manage acute uncomplicated urinary tract infections, shingles, and penicillin allergy mislabeling through interactive case discussions.

This conference is provided by the Continuing Pharmacy Professional Development, UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. 

ACCREDITATION 

This conference is pending accreditation for Continuing Education Units (CEU) by the UBC Continuing Pharmacy Professional Development unit.

A Statement of Completion will be accessible online after the conference. To receive it, attendees must complete the online conference evaluations.
