Date: A session is offered in February, June, and October.

The booking calendar opens for registration 90 days before the course date.

Sessions will not be visible in the calendar if greater than 90 days from the scheduled date or if the session is full.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course equips the participant to ship or receive infectious substances associated with bio-medical research or animal units.  Participants will learn to properly label, document and package dangerous goods for road or air transport.  Emphasis is placed on the handling of diagnostic specimens, biological products, genetically modified organisms, and dry ice.

COURSE STRUCTURE:

This 3.5-hour course is delivered entirely in person on Point Grey Campus.

COURSE REFUND:

A course refund will not be provided in any of the following situations

  • The student has attended a practical session/live training
  • For courses that have no online component, the request for cancellation has to be received a minimum of 24 hours before the session starts
